About the ClubWhitefriars Sailing Club - Juniors
The junior group is now in its 16th year and provides youngsters from the age of 7 with a mix of formal RYA training and fun sailing events under the supervision of qualified instructors. It owns a number of boats suitable for all abilities and meets regularly on Saturdays and Sundays through the season. It is financially separate from the main club and an additional junior joining fee per child is payable. This includes coaching tuition fees. The fees for other sessions are as shown below.

Junior Group Application Letter
Last year, the Youth Development Squad(YDS) was formed as a separate group within WSC Juniors with the specific aim of further developing the sailing skills of those Juniors who have successfully completed up to and including RYA Stage 4. The group has applied for RYA Volvo Championship Club status which, if successful, will bring some additional funding and access professional RYA race coaches to come down to the club and coach YDS members.
